David Rundle, LibDem candidate for Banbury constituency has welcomed the success of the first hustings of the General Election campaign, held in a packed Banbury Town Hall on Sunday evening.

David commented: 'It was great to see so many people willing to give up their Sunday evening to hear the candidates. It's testimony to how hard people are thinking about how to vote in this election -- and how open the race has become. It is going to be the most exciting election in our country and in our area for decades.

'I would also like to thank the faith groups for coming together to organise this event. As I said at the hustings, it's a sign of the best of Banbury when people work together to make something like this a success'.

The next public hustings will take place in Bicester, at the Methodist Church, on Sunday 25th April at 7:30pm.
